Alma Gharib
Alma is originally from San Marino, attending San Marino schools before graduating from Polytechnic School in Pasadena. After graduation, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from UC San Diego and a Master’s degree in Art History from Columbia, where she studied art and neuroscience. She is currently a graduate student at Caltech studying social neuroscience.
Alma has loved teaching since she was in high school, working one-on-one with at-risk youth at Hillsides as well as tutoring in group settings. More recently, she has worked as a teaching assistant for biology courses at UCSD and neuroscience courses at Caltech.
